Shrimad Rajchandra college of Physiotherapy organised a workshop on “Mulligan Concept of Mobilisation with Movement (MWM) for Upper and Lower Quadrant” for 4th Year B.P.T. students.
Dr.Bhavik Jhaveri (PT), Assistant Professor, Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy, was the expert.
In this workshop, Dr.Bhavik Jhaveri covered basic principles, indications, precautions, contraindications and various techniques of Mulligan concept for correction of Joint pathomechanics. Hands on practical application of Mulligan concept for various painful conditions such as ankle sprain, osteoarthritis of knee & hip, supraspinatus tendinitis, tennis elbow, etc. was done.
The session was mainly focused on the correction of pathomechanics and how to make functional movements pain free. All the students practiced and participated with great enthusiasm. It was a great learning experience for the students which we will help them to improve the treatment outcome. 72 students attended the session.
Students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy participated in "Patriotic Group Dance" competition on 10th August 2022 which was organised by Dance Club of Uka Tarsadia University.Two teams of total 17participants performed in the competition with tremendous enthusiasm and hardwork.Total 16 institutes of the university participated in the competition. We are thankful to all the participants for their active participation and made the institute proud. We also forward our heartfelt thanks to Dance Club of Uka Tarsadia University for organizing such an event.

An expert talk on "CSF, Ventricular system and its abnormality" was organised for 4th year BPT students.
Dr. Kruti Thakkar (PT) was the expert for the session who shared her valuable knowledge about the Anatomy and physiology of Ventricular system, Flow of CSF In it and the function of CSF in the beginning of session.
In the later half of the session Dr. Kruti discussed about the abnormalities of Ventricular system with its medical and surgical management.
This session will surely help the students in their future clinical practice.

Shrimad Rajchandra college of physiotherapy organised a 6-day Expert talk. Dr. Anand J. Patel, Assistant professor at S.R.C.P was the expert for the topic. During first day students learned about the details about the core, its anatomy, action and mechanism of the core. Details about the importance of the core in the human body were explained to them. On Day 2, assessment of the core strength and endurance were taught practically to everyone. Difference about core stability and strength were explained to them. Core stability exercise were taught practically to every students. On day 3, practical session regarding core strengthening exercise were given. They were explained regarding core strengthening approach to patient as well as when dealing with athletes. Throughout the expert talk various queries regarding the topic were discussed between the instructor and students.

Shrimad Rajchandra college of physiotherapy organised a 6-day Expert talk.Dr. Vaidik P. Rupareliya, Assistant professor at Shrimad Rajchandra college of Physiotherapy was the expert for the topic.On first day students learned about the pathological aspect of cancer and different types of cancer like Breast cancer, head & neck, Colorectal cancer, cervix cancer, Prostate cancer as well as investigation procedure of cancer. 2nd day:Different type of medical and radiological treatment &effect of Cancer treatment on human body and side effects of various procedures. 3rd day: Students learned about the evidence-basedoutcome measure, evaluation of patients, exercise testing indication, contraindication and precaution of exercise testing in oncological condition &Role of rehabilitation on oncological condition in theoretical and practical Aspects. Throughout the expert talk various queries regarding the topic were discussed between the instructor and students.
An Expert talkon"Cranial Nerves & its Injuries" was organised by Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy. The expert talk was conducted on June 27th& 28th and July 4th& 5th 2022. Dr.Snehal Patel introduced the subject by explaining the anatomy and physiology of Cranial nerves. The session continued with Dr.Snehal demonstrating the function, evaluation methods and deficiency of all 12 cranial nerves to all the students. In this talk different cranial nerves were discussed with the students&Mneumonics were taught for easy recall. All the precautions and contraindication were portrayed during the session. Total 71 students from 5thsemester attended the talk.
Acupuncture is a system of complementary medicine in which fine needles are inserted in the skin at specific points along what are considered to be lines of energy (meridians), used in the treatment of various physical and mental conditions.Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy organized a Guest lecture for our UG& PG students for developing skills &increasing knowledge into the field of Physiotherapy in Collaboration with Aurum Academy, Surat. Dr.Mrunaljoined us on 4th July ,2022 with topic Entitled "Acupuncture". He also gave a practical demonstration for Trapezitis, Migraine & Low back pain for reference for the students. The session was amazing into the content focusing on Acupuncture of different bodyparts & the diseases associated with it . All the Students & Faculties had great time listening & learning the topic.The practical knowledge shared by the Speaker will be of great help for the students & faculties into the clinics & OPD while dealing with such patients. 84 UG students from 7th semester BPT, 11 MPT & 5 faculties attended the program. The entire programme was co-ordinated by Dr Snehal Patel.
Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy (SRCP) organized an orientation/induction program for newly admitted M.P.T.aspirants at the institute premises on 1st July 2022. The major objective of the program was to aware students about the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the institute.

The program started with welcome speech byDr.Anil Kumar Mishra, Principal. A brief introduction about the curriculum and activities to be done in 1st semester was given by the class co-ordinatorDr.Bhavik Jhaveri. Healso provided brief introductionabout the institute which included the vision, mission, history, awareness about different cell including Women’s cell, Sexual harassment cell and Anti-Ragging cell. They were also briefed about academic regulation, co-curricular activities and examination pattern managed by SRCP.
A soft skill session on "Movie Based Learning" was conducted by Dr.Pranav Shah, Professor, MalibaPharmacy College where he shared his valuable knowledge and experience with students about how to develop good communication skill, rapport with patients for better treatment outcome.
