Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy, a constituent institute of UKA Tarsadia University has organised a seminar as a part of celebrating "World Hemophilia day" on 17th April-2019. Students were provided brief introduction about the disease and how to prevent the disease from occurring. Treatment part was also discussed with the students. Seminar was conducted by Dr. Bhavik Jhaveri. In this seminar 80 students and 8 faculties of SRCP had enthusiastically participated to make this seminar successful.
One-Day National level conference on "Multidisciplinary Approach in Shoulder Dysfunction" was organized by Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy on 9th March 2019 at Manjula Auditorium-Bardoli. The Inaugural function started with UTU Anthem, Lightening Lamp and Prayer. The session was started by Dr.Krunal Shah (Director, Aastha Clinic), Dr.Nehal Shah (I/C Principal, SBB College of Physiotherapy), Dr.Pradnya Girdhar (Assistant Professor, MGM School of Physiotherapy, Navi Mumbai) and finally Dr. Sudeep Joshi (certified Manual therapy practitioner). All the speakers shared their valuable knowledge about Shoulder joint dysfunction & it's management in sedentary and physically active individuals. There were 190 Delegates who participated in the conference. All the sessions were informative and enlightened the knowledge and skills of delegates. There were 22 delegates who also presented their paper in the conference. Dr.Sweta Upadhyay ended conference with vote of thanks.
Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy celebrated international woman's day on 8th march, 2019. Around 70 students and 2 faculties has participated in the celebration. Brief introduction on the importance of woman's Day was given by Dr.Komal Patel and some students from the class gave speech on " Think equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change". and the celebration was ended by small speech of Dr. Kinjal Patel.

Dr. Sudeep Joshi, certified manual therapist in India, delivered the lecture. He shared his immense knowledge and ideas with students on manual therapy. He demonstrated various techniques related to manual therapy. In this seminar 64 students and faculties of SRCP had enthusiastically participated to make this seminar successful. Dr. Rajal B. Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy organized Annual sports days "Khelotsav" on 11th, 12th and 13thFebruary,2019. It comprises of total 27 events in boys & girls categories that includes all major Indoor & Outdoor games like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Table tennis, Badminton, 100*4m relay, 100m run, 200m run, 400m run, Shot put, Tug of war, Carrom, Chess. All students & faculties of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy enthusiastically & energetically participated in various single & team event game. Champion trophy was given to the Team-D "Super-mario" and runner up trophy was given to Team-C "Gully gang" among four teams.
Orthosis and Prosthesis are supportive devices that can be used as rehabilitation of disorders like stroke, cerebral palsy,nerve injuryetc.SRCP organized ORTHOSIS AND PROSTHESIS expert session for students of 6th and 8th semester on11th March 2019. Dr.Pradeep Singh Chauhan (B.P.O) conducted the session. Dr. KhushbooValodwala, Assistant Professor as a part of curricular activity, arranged this session. In the session different orthosis, braces, which are used by physiotherapy patients and customized orthosis, were shown to them.Artificial limbs and their benefits were taught to them. The students enthusiastically participated in expert session and enjoyed a lot. The aim of the session was to bring awareness in the students about different orthosis and prosthesis so they can use and rehabilitatepatients in a better way.
Students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy participated in Inter College Tournament held in January, 2019. This tournament includes 6 games - football, basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho, chess and volleyball in boys and girls category. 40Students including both boys & girls participants of SRCP enthusiastically & energetically participated in this tournament. In this tournament, the girl's team of the Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy became champion in volleyball (girls) &1st Runner up in kho-kho (girls).
An expert session on "Aerobics instructor Training - Basic" was conducted by Dr. Rajal B. Sukhiyaji, Assistant Professor, SRCP for the8th semester students of Physiotherapy on 29th December, 2018 as a part of extra curriculum activity. The session included brief introduction about aerobics exercise, guidelines, information regarding beats, music and choreography etc. The students enthusiastically participated in expert session and enjoyed a lot. The motive of this activity is to offer immense opportunity to become fit and healthy and to get extra knowledge.
Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy organized fresher's party "Dastak 2k18" for 1stSem BPT and 1stSem MPT on 8th December 2018 at Manjula hall. The inaugural function of fresher's party began with lamp lighting and a welcome dance to make the occasion auspicious. Dr.Anil Mishra sir welcomed the guests Dr. Dinesh Shah (Provost, UTU) and Dr.RajkumarPatil sir. Our honorable provost Dr. Dinesh Shah gave an inspirational speech on this occasion. Group dance and singing was performed by various senior and junior students. In between some entertaining task and activity was also arranged by students of 4th semester for fresher's. Lastly question answer round for selected students and winner was tagged of Mr. and Miss Fresher's of 2018. The Program concluded with vote of thanks by Dr.Heena Rathod followed by ice cream for all.The party ended with a very entertaining D.J. Music &Dance. All students and faculty members enjoyed the evening.
ShrimadRajchandra College of Physiotherapy organized a Lecture on "Alzheimer's Disease" on 25th September2018 as a part of celebration for "World ALZHEIMER'S Day". In that the organizing committee members Dr. Khushboo Valodwala and Dr.Sneha Sailor explained the students about Alzheimer's disease. The purpose of the lecturewas understanding of neurological conditions, causes of Alzheimer's disease along with its sign and symptoms and how we can manage this condition as part of physiotherapy treatment.In this lecture 89 students and faculties of SRCP enthusiastically participated.

Lecture was delivered by Dr. RuchiGupta (Pediatric Physiotherapist). In this seminar 80 students and 8 faculties of SRCP had enthusiastically participated to make this seminar successful.
Ganesh Mahotsav was celebrated at Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy from 13-15 September, 2018. On 13th September, Ganesh Sthapana was done by Students of SRCP at Gathering area. Ganesh murti was completely eco-friendly, made up of pure soil. Every day, Aarti was performed at 8.30 am and 3.30 pm by students and faculties. On 15th September 2018, Ganesh Visarjan was performed at SRCP in a tub for making Ganesh Mahotsav eco-friendly. Water was then poured in the plantation near SRCP. Entire Ganesh Mahotsav was arranged by students under guidance of faculty members.
World Physical Therapy day was celebrated at ShrimadRajchandra College of Physiotherapy on 11thSeptember 2018, 8.30 a.m onwards. The day started with introduction to Physical Therapy Day by Dr. Pooja Patel and Dr. Alisha Memon. Different competitions were arranged with theme of Movement for life, like Rangoli, Painting, Debate, Essay, Quiz, Dance and Fashion Show. Many students had participated in various competitions and lastly, winners and runners up were announced and Certificate of Achievement was given.
NDT is a therapy that can be used as rehabilitation of neurological disorders like stroke, cerebral palsy etc. SRCP organized "Introduction to NDT" expert session for students of 8th semester on 9th February,2019. Dr. KhushbooValodwala, Assistant Professor as a part of extra curriculum activity, conducted this session. In this session principles of NDT, Role of reflexes, Normal and abnormal human development and practical application of therapy was taught to students. The students enthusiastically participated in expert session and enjoyed a lot. The aim of the session was to make the students know about novel technique so they can apply on patients and rehabilitate them.
Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy celebrated teacher's day on 5th September, 2018. Our students of 4th, 6thand 8thsemester organized the event. It was a very entertaining and cheerful event. They had arranged some games like bursting balloons, dumsharasand ramp walk. Total 250 plus student and faculties participated in function. Token of gratitude were given to every faculty member by our beloved students. Session ended by a thanksgiving speech by principal sir.

For the students staying in hostel, two days aerobics session was conducted by Dr. Rajal B. Sukhiyaji, assistant professor, certified Aerobics, Pilates and Power yoga trainer. These sessions arranged on 27th and 28th August, 2018, at Yoga hall of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy. Each session included brief introduction about aerobics exercise and guidelines which have to be remembered throughout the session. Warm up and cool down period of 15 minutes was also included. Students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed a lot. The motive of this activity is to offer immense opportunity to become fit and healthy.

Hepatitis refers to an inflammatory condition of liver. To spread the awareness ShrimadRajchandra College of Physiotherapy organized an awareness session for all the students.
Hepatitis Risk assessment Tool by Center of Disease (CDC) was used by Dr. Snehal to explain the students about importance of hepatitis in the spread of infection. Some basic information about Hepatitis A, B & C was also discussed. Dr. Snehal concluded the session by sharing quick tips on safeguarding everyone from hepatitis infection in the community.
Shrimad Rajchandra college of Physiotherapy organised one day Hands on Workshop on Athletic Taping for 4th Year students and interns of B.P.T. on 21st July, 2018. Dr. Bhavik Jhaveri, Assistant Professor, Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy, was the resource person. In the Workshop Dr. Bhavik Jhaveri covered all the basic principles, indication, precaution & contraindication of Athletic Taping. He also provided various risk factors and the mechanism of injuries that occur to an athlete. Hands on practical application of Athletic Taping for various sports injuries such as ligament sprain, muscle strain and prophylactic taping in order to prevent any injury to the joint or soft tissues was done. Throughout the workshop various queries regarding the sports injuries and it's prevention were discussed among resource person and students. 85 participants including 4th year students and interns attended the workshop.

Dizziness is a vague term heard from many people around us. To reduce the confusion, a "Two days hand on workshop was organized on 'Vestibular Rehabilitation:
Finding your Balance" by ShrimadRajchandra College of Physiotherapy.
Dr. PoojaPatel introduced the subject by explaining the anatomy of vestibular system. The session continued with Dr. Snehal Patel showing the evaluation methods and treatmenttechniques to all the students who practiced them consecutively.
In this workshop different vestibular conditions like BPPV, Vestibular Neuritis, Meniere disease and Acoustic Neuroma were discussed with the students. All the precautions and contraindication were portrayed during the session. Total 75 final year students and Interns attended the workshop.
