Students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy participated enthusiastically & energetically in Quizzical-2022, an inter-college quiz competition based on questions related to the field of physiotherapy, research and statistics. 4 students participated in the competition where they reached up to the 3rd round out of 5 rounds.We congratulate all the players for their participation and made us feel proud.

Shrimad Rajchandra College of physiotherapy organised Fresher's party "ESPERENZA-2022" for 1st and 4th semester BPT students and a farewell party "WRAP UP-2022" for 8th semester BPT students on 16th April, 2022 at PUSHPAM TARSADIA HALL. The event of new beginning & saying good bye started with the lamp lighting ceremony and prayer to the supreme to bless everyone and make current and other event successful after two years of thepandemic. Dr. Anil Mishra welcomed everyone and presented the annual report of the institute. The event was followed by a welcome dance and other dance performances. Interesting fun games/tasks rounds were conducted for the freshers and the final question answer round was held for selection of Mr. and Ms.Fresher of the batch. All the students and faculty members enjoyed the lunch together.The event concluded with the emotional farewell speech and poetry by 8th semester students and a vote of thanks. In the evening everyone enjoyed on the beats of DJ. It was a memorable day for all the students & faculty memberswhere everyone enjoyed together.
Students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy participated enthusiastically & energetically in inter-college volleyball tournament (Boys & Girls category) in which girl's volleyball team secured 2nd position while boy's team secured 3rd position.Total eight boys and six girls participated in the tournament. World Health Day was celebrated by day celebration committee of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy (SRCP) UkaTarsadia University(UTU). The institute had organized poster making competition for Physiotherapy and Nursing students on this occasion.
To start with, permission from the directors of SRCP and MBNC was taken for the day celebration. The theme of poster making competition was on Health Promotion. The participants were informed about rules and regulation of the competition before one week. The coordinators had reserved Yoga hall of SRCP for this competition two days prior. The participants and faculties were informed about date, venue and time of this event.
Additionally, there were six students in each group and total 132 students (25 teams) had participated in the competition. The participants had reported the venue at 2:00 pm and competition was started at 2:15 pm and it lasts for one hour. Moreover, judges were invited from the SRCP and MBNC. After the competitions, judges were called to evaluate the posters made by students and all the faculty members of SRCP and MBNC had visited this competition during the event. And results were declared based on the scores given by Judges to each poster. Three winners (First, Second and Third) were announced and certificates were distributed to the winning teams.

Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy organized an experttalk on "Lumbar Stabilizers: Testing & Training". It was conducted by Dr. Chelsi Gabani (PT) on 3rd, 4th and 10th, 11th March, 2022. The motive of this activity was to teach 'how to assess the lumbar stabilizers and training of lumbar stabilizers using pressure bio feedback' among students of 6th semester BPT. The session started with introduction, basic anatomy and palpation of deep segmental muscles of lumbar spine. Whole session is divided into testing and progressive training of lumbar flexors and extensor limb loading exercise. Throughout the work shop various queries regarding testing and training of lumbar stabilizers were discussed between the instructor and students.

Diagnosis plays an important role to rehabilitate all conditions, So, Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy Organized Hands-on workshop on CLINICAL NEURODYNAMICS A PERMANENT EMULSION for 4th Semester BPT Students on 12th February 2022 and 5th March 2022. Dr. Smit Shah, Assistant Professor at Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy was the resource Person for this session. In this session Dr. Smit Shah Covered diagnosis & treatment of a variety of Musculoskeletal & neurological conditions with Neural Component Such as Cervical Radiculopathy, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Supinator Tunnel Syndrome, Sciatica, Piriformis Syndrome & So Many Conditions, etc. The Main Aim of this workshop was to teach the physiotherapy students all the basics Neural Tension Concept to identify which structures may be affected so they can manage to rehabilitate in correct way by using Neurodynamics on all the patients. This Session was started with basic diagnosis by using Neural Tension through rehabilitate all the conditions of Upper extremities to lower extremities, Upper back, Lower back all the regions and Ended with F.A.Q session in this workshop. Total 94 students was attended this workshop enthusiastically.

In this expert talk, Students learned about the basic functional anatomy of spinal cord, various ascending tracts of spinal cord and their functions. Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy organizedan expert talk on physiotherapy approaches to scoliosis for 4th Year B.P.T. students. Dr Sneha Somarajan, Assistant Professor at Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy, was the instructor for this session This session covered topics such as introduction, different types of scoliosis, and the equipment used for measurements, among others. The students were also given a practical demonstration. Students learned how to use specific equipment to measure and assess the angle of degree, which is an important part of clinical assessment. Students were divided into two groups and practised in the musculoskeletal lab. Various questions about the various schools of physiotherapy for scoliosis were discussed with the instructor and practiced by students throughout the session. The expert talk was attended by 65 students.

Expert talk was conducted by Dr.Heena Rathod.Students learnt about different Exercise Protocol to improve gait, balance and hand functions in stroke patients.They also learnt about which are the common mistakes that areperformed by the therapist during rehabilitation of stroke. Different case scenario were given to the students for practice and lastly session ended with group discussion. It was a great learning experience for all the students.

Shrimad Rajchandra college of Physiotherapy organised one day Seminar/Lectureon Biomechanical Analysis, Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation Strategies in Golf for the students ofM.P.T. on4th March, 2022Dr. Benji Abraham, Poona Golf Association, Healyos powered by Sancheti Orthopaedic Hospital, was the guest speaker. In the expert talk, Dr. Benji Abrahamcoveredthe importance of biomechanics and bioanalysis in the golf as well as how to prevent injuries, manage and evaluate the golf playerin golf rehabilitation. Students learnt about the process of assessing and applying physiotherapy strategies and were given practise sessions for the same. Throughout the expert talk various queriesregarding this topic were discussed between the instructor and students. 22 M.P.T. students from Semester 2 & 4 as well as 6 faculties of SRCP attended and learned about the golf. The entire guest lecture had been co-ordinated by Dr. Mumux Mirani.

Students learned about the procedure for the Heart, Lung and Kidney Transplantation along with Indication, contraindication, importance of exercise Regime & Pre & post-Transplant Rehabilitation. Dr.Dhruvi Mistry was the expert for the session who shared her valuable knowledge about pathways of transmission of sensory impulses and technique of assessment of all types of sensation and reflexes. The motive of this expert talk was to teach the students about how to check different type of sensation and reflex integrity in all speciality of Physiotherapy. It was conducted by Dr. Anand Patel in two batches. 1stbatch was conducted on 15thFebruary 2022 and 2ndbatch was on23thFebruary 2022. The motive of this activity was to introduced them with various scales and outcome measureused in ICU and cardio respiratory conditions. Students were given basic theoretical knowledge about when to use scales, where to use scales and components of the scale. 36 students of 8th semester of SRCP participated in this program for two days.

Dr. PranjalContractor (PT)was the instructor for this talk who shared her knowledge on ASIA scale and its interpretation to final year BPT students. In the expert talk, Dr. Pranjal covered background information about ASIA scale, development, theoretical aspect of ASIA scale its practical application and interpretation of ASIA scale. Total 62 students attended this session. Students were made to evaluate the cases on the basis of ASIA and they were able to grade appropriately. Throughout the expert talk different queries regarding this topic were discussed between the expert and students.

An expert talk was organized for 3rd year BPT students on detailed assessment and evaluation of muscular system. A total of 85 students have participated in the session. Dr.Niyati Desai gave a brief overview about muscular system and its function. The session was conducted on muscle strength and flexibility assessment. Students were motivated to perform and practice demonstrated techniques for each muscle and muscle groups.
Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy has organized full day Skills & Personality Development Workshopfor 1stYear BPT students for developing skills & personality with topics based on Decision Making, Time & Priority Management and Building Relationship on 11th February 2022 under titled conducting future training programme by JCI (Junior Chamber International), Bardoli where various Expertise Professional Trainers have join for sharing their knowledge, skills & experiences to best of them.
JC Utsavi Shah, JC Ajitsingh Sohall & JC Keval Shah conducted the workshop for 33 students in each batch for full day. They under took all 3 topics of skill & personality development in each group of 33 students individually. The workshop started with opening ceremony by addressing & greeting College Higher authorities by JCI president, Chairperson & members, Bardoli. Welcome speech was given by Dr Khyati Shahgreeting all 3 trainers & JCI Bardoli Team. After that training was started. All the Students had great time listening & learning the topics. The Knowledge shared by all the trainers will be of great help for the students in shaping their future.100 1st year BPT students attended the workshop. At the end of the day closing ceremony was done. The entire workshop was Co-ordinated by Dr.Khyati Shah.

Dizziness is a vague term heard from many people around us. To reduce the confusion, a "Two days expert talk was organized in 2 batches on Vestibular Rehabilitation" by Dr. Snehal Patel, Assistant Professor of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy.
Dr. Snehal Patel introduced the subject by explaining the anatomy of vestibular system. The session continued by showing the evaluation methods and treatment techniques of BPPV to all the students who practiced them consecutively. In this session different vestibular conditions like BPPV, Vestibular Neuritis, Meniere's disease and Acoustic Neuroma were discussed with the students. Both Theoritical knowledge and hand-on experience was provided to the students for practice. All the precautions and contraindication were portrayed during the session. Total 90 final year BPT and MPT students attended the expert talk.
Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy had organized an Expert Talk on "Post-COVID OPD based rehabilitation". It was conducted by Dr. Falak kanabar in two sessions. 1st session was conducted on 8th December 2021 and 2nd session was on 15th December 2021. The motive of this activity was to make students skilled in COVID rehabilitation. Students were given basic theoretical knowledge about gradual rehabilitation process in 1st session. 2nd session included practical demonstration and practice of various rehabilitation components. 46 students in each batch of 8th semester of SRCP participated in this program for two days. The session ended with complete theoretical knowledge and practical application of COVID rehabilitation components in different aged populations.
Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy had organized an Expert Talk on "Chest PNF". It was conducted by Dr. Khyati Shah in two sessions. 1st session was conducted on 24th & 25th January, 2022 and 2nd session was on 31st January & 1st February, 2022. The motive of this activity was to make students Learn & get Expertise in giving Chest PNF to the patients. Students were given basic theoretical knowledge about indication-contraindication of giving Chest PNF to patients and the session also included practical demonstration and practice of various Chest PNF Techniques. 30 students in each batch of 8th semester BPT of SRCP participated in this program for 2 days. The session ended with complete theoretical knowledge and practical application of Chest PNF in ICU & patients with altered consciousness level population.

Shrimad Rajchandra college of Physiotherapy had organized an Expert Talk on "Emergency sports assessment". It was conducted by Dr. Sujit Vasava on 23rd and 24th of December and 30th and 31st of December 2021 for 6th semester BPT students. The motive of this program was to explain to students about how to assess the athletes after on ground injury. Students were explained about the pre-event preparation and emergency sports assessment. How to assess the conscious level, Airway, Breathing and circulation, heat/ cold injury, severe head injury in athletes during ongoing events and how to react in the emergency situation after injury or after cervical spine injury or concussion. The session ended with complete theoretical and practical knowledge about the emergency sports assessment.

Dr.Bhavik Jhaveri (PT), Assistant Professor at Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapywas the instructor for the session. In this session Dr.Bhavik Jhaveri covered all the basic principles, indications, precautions& contraindications of Athletic Taping. He also providedknowledge about various risk factors and the mechanism of injuries that occur to an athlete. Hands on practical application of Athletic Taping for various sports injuries such as ligament sprain, muscle strain and prophylactic taping in order to prevent any injury to the joint or soft tissues was done. Throughout the workshop various queries regarding the sports injuries and its prevention were discussed amonginstructor and students. 98 participants attended thisexpert talk.
Students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy (SRCP) participated in Inter-College Sports (Outdoor) tournamentwhich was organised in December, 2021. The tournamentconsisted foursports Basketball (Boys & Girls), Kabaddi (Boys), Kho-Kho (Boys & Girls) and Volleyball (Boys & Girls). 45Students including both boys & girls participants of SRCP enthusiastically & energetically participated in this tournament. In this tournament, team of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy became champion in Volleyball (girls) while semi-finalist in kabaddi (boys), kho-kho (boys & girls). We congratulate and appreciate all the players who represented their college and put their efforts in participating and playing with such a great enthusiasm.
Students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy (SRCP) participated in Inter-College Sports (Indoor) tournamentwhich was organised in December, 2021. The tournament consisted threesports - Badminton (Boys & Girls), Table-Tennis (Boys & Girls) and Chess (Mixed). 25students including both boys & girls participants of SRCP enthusiastically & energetically participated in this tournament. In this tournament, team of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy reached into semifinals in Badminton (Girls) and Chess (Mixed). Patel, Assistant Professor of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy, was the instructor. In the expert talk, Dr. Chinmayee B. Patel covered Basics of all types of reflex examination and mainly focused on neonatal reflex examination and its clinical significance for motor development . Students learnt the examination of dermatomesand reflex examination in neonatal cases. Throughout the expert talk various queries regarding this topic were discussed between the instructor and students. 79 students attended the expert talk.
Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy is organizing a CME (Continuing Medical Education) cum Lecture Series Programme for our Faculties, UG & PG students for developing skills & knowledge into the field of Physiotherapy in Collaboration with Unity Hospital, Surat where various Expertise Medical Professionals are going to join for sharing their knowledge, skills & experiences to best of them.
3rd Session was conducted by Dr. Rohit Delat (Endoscopic Spine Surgeon) from Unity Hospital, Surat on 17th December, 2021 with topic Entitled "Spine Examination-Surgeon's Point of View" for Faculties, UG & PG students. The session was amazing into the content focusing on Art of Examining Spinal Conditions . All the Students & Faculties had great time listening & learning the topic. The Knowledge shared by the Speaker will be of great help for the students & faculties into the clinics & OPD while dealing with such patients. 75 UG students from 8th semester BPT, 25 PG students & 22 faculties attended the 3rd session of the Lecture Series Programme. The entire programme is been Coordinated by Dr Khyati Shah.

Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy organized "Garba Mahotsav 2k21" on 13thOctober,2021. The celebration started by offering prayer to Goddess Navdurga which was followed by welcome speech of Dr.Anil Mishra (Director, SRCP). Introduction and felicitation of jury members for various categories of garba competition was given afterwards by Ms.Dhruvi Soni & Mr.Sharabh Gandhi. Students of SRCP participated for three different categories which are listed below. All the Students and Staff Members enthusiastically participated in traditional grooming. All of them celebrated the day with joy and cheer. It was a colourful event with teachers joining the students in their dance. The role of physiotherapists in various diseases and the scope of rehabilitation were emphasized to create awareness in the patients. The efforts of students were applauded by audience. The session was amazing into the content focusing on Hip Replacement indications, Contarindications & Complications associated with it. All the Students & Faculties had great time listening & learning the topic & Rehab Programme in detail with Pre & Post surgical physiotherapy Protocols. The Knowledge shared by the Speaker will be of great help for the students & faculties into the clinics & OPD while dealing with such patients. 30 PG students from 1st & 3rd semester MPT & 15 faculties attended the 2nd session of the Lecture Series Programme. A very warm welcome to MPT Batch (2021-22). An Orientation program for newly admitted MPT 1st Year students was organised by Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy on 1st September, 2021. Dr. Snehal Patel ( Assistant Professor) started the program with a brief introduction of the institute and UkaTarsadia University. Adding up important information about academics, OPD orientation, Discipline and extracurricular activities were provided to all the students. The key note speech by the hon'ble director of SRCP Dr.Anil Mishra who welcomed students and wished them good luck for their new beginning. Later on students visited the B.U.Tarsaida Learning Resource Centre, Shrimad Rajchandra Memorial Museum. Dr.Snehal Patel, the class co-ordinator provided best of her knowledge about the institute and it's activities for the betterment of students.

Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy had organized the Expert Talk on "Spinal
manipulation and manual muscle testing". It was conducted by Dr. Ishita Mayatra
(PT) on 17 th & 18 th August and 24 th & 25 th August 2021.The motive of
this activity was to teach "different technique of cervical, thoracic and lumbar
vertebra" among students of 5 th semester BPT. The programme was started with introduction
and basic information of the Manipulation and Manual Muscle Testing. Throughout
the workshop various queries regarding to the assessment were discussed between

Human locomotion or gait may be described as a translatory progression of the body as a whole, produced by coordinated, rotatory movements of body segments.Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy organised expert talk on "Gait parameters and its Assessment" by Dr.Snehal Patel (P.T), Assistant Professor. A practical demonstration of all the gait parameters measurement and gait cycle phases was done by using videography.Total 85 students from BPT Semester5 enthusiastically learned and practised the technique in the Musculoskeletal laboratory.
'Raksha Bandhan' or 'Rakhi' is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions.
This year, Rakhi festival was in calendars on 22nd August. To commemorate this festival, a Rakhi Making and card making competition was organized in campus during morning assemblies on 18thAugust at Architecture department. The students enthusiastically participated in this activity. From Shrimad Rahjchandra College of Physiotherapy there were 2 groups from each yearwho participated in rakhi making and card making respectively.Students showcased their talent by creative hand-made eco-friendly Rakhi using craft and waste material. NiharMangrukiya and Dhanvikheni from 2nd year BPT won 1st Prize in Rakhi Making Competition.

Dr.Rahul Parmar, an Orthopaedic Onco-surgeon discussed about various etiological factors, clinical features and diagnostic methods such as plain X-ray, MRI, PET Scan, etc. to detect the bone cancer in early stage of the disease. Later he discussed with great emphasis on Management strategies which includes pharmacological management, surgical management and role of Physiotherapy post-surgery to make patient more functional. SRCP is thankful to Dr.Rahul Parmar for sharing his experience, knowledge and sparing time for students. Total 163 students from BPT Semester 5 & 7 along with MPT students along with 3 faculties attended the Seminar.

In the expert talk, Dr.Chinmayee Patel covered sensory, motor, cognitive and perception assessment in neurological conditions like stroke. Students learned the examination of sensory system, motor system, cognitive and perception. Dr.Manu Sharma who is working as a senior orthopaedic surgeon and Knee Replacement Surgeon at Shalby hospital, Surat was the invited speaker for this lecture. Dr.Manu Sharma provided best of his knowledge about risk factors, clinical features, conservative and surgical management for the knee osteoarthritis. He also put emphasis on early mobilisation of the patient and role of post-operative Physiotherapy for the same. Nearly 75 students were benefited from this lecture. The session was co-ordinated by Dr.Niyati Desai & Dr.Sneha Somarajan.

Dr. Manish Saini who is working as a senior orthopaedic surgeon at Shalby hospital, Surat was the invited speaker for this lecture. The goal of this session was to introduce the knee replacement surgery, its indication, different technique of procedure and its physiotherapy management. The program was started with introduction, basic information and case study. The lecture was too interactive and students asked many question to expert. Throughout the lecture various queries regarding to the knee replacement surgery were solved. He explained in detail about pre and post-operative physiotherapy assessment. All the students learnt lots of new things and they gave a good feedback. Total 106 students from 5th semester B.P.T and 11 MPT students attended the guest lecture.

Student learned how to measure height, circumference with particular equipment which is important part of clinical assessment. Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy organized online training activity on Breast Feeding for female students, as part of World Breastfeeding week on 06/08/2021. Women Cell of UTU in collaboration with Sheth P.T. Mahila College of Arts and Home Sciences VanitaVishram conducted this program. Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy organised an expert talk on“Abnormal Gaits & It’s Physiotherapy Management”for 3rd year students of B.P.T. on 22nd, 23rd, 29th&30th July-2021. Dr.Bhavik Jhaveri, Assistant Professor at Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy,was the expert for the session. In the session, Dr.Bhavik Jhaveri covered basic kinematics of gait which includes phases of gait, various Traditional & RLA gait terminologies, time & distance dependent gait parameters. Major focus of this expert talk was on identifying various abnormal gaits in different conditions and how a physiotherapist can manage it using exercises. The session ended with Q&A session about gait and it’s abnormality.102 students attended the expert talk.

An expert talk was organized for detailed assessment and evaluation of muscular system. Dr.Niyati Desai gave a brief overview about muscular system and its function.The session was conducted on muscle strength and flexibility assessment. Students were motivated to perform and practice demonstrated techniques for each muscle and muscle groups. Total 93 students of 7th semester, BPT took part in the series of practical sessions.
Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy had organized an Expert Talkon "Cardiorespiratory Assessment". It was conducted by Dr. Khyati Shahintwo sessions. 1st session was conducted on 12th July, 2021 and 2nd session wason 19th July, 2021. The motive of this activity was to make students learn & get Expertise in Cardiorespiratory Assessment. Students were given basic theoreticalknowledge about importance of Cardiorespiratory Assessment Performa and thesession also included practical demonstration and practice of various Cardiorespiratory Assessmentcomponents. 47 students in each batch of 7th semester BPT of SRCP participated in thisprogram for three days. The session ended with complete theoretical knowledge andpracticalapplicationof Cardiorespiratory Assessment in ICU & OPD Based Patient population.
TOPIC OF WEBINAR: Expert talk on "Physical Assessment of Lumbar Spine"

Session-1 focused on brief overview of clinical anatomy and subjective examination of lumbar spine. Students learnt about various pathologies related to lumbar spine. Along with the theory session, clinical examination procedure was discussed.
Session-2 focused on objective examination of lumbar spine. Practical demonstration of assessment skills for lumbar spine was shown to the students. Throughout the workshop various queries regarding back pain were discussed between the instructor and students. At the end of the workshop, students had a good understanding of the evaluation of lumbar spine. 92students of 5th Semester BPT attended the workshop.
