Shrimad Rajchandra College of physiotherapy, a constituent institute of UKA Tarsadia University posted MPT students in South zone/ State KhelMahakumbh-2022. 5 MPT students provided physiotherapy service in various sports such as hockey, athletics, basketball, kho-kho & football for various Men's & Women's category. During the competition, more than 50 players were treated for various injuries such as ligament sprain, bruising, muscle pull, muscle cramps, nose bleed, etc. by our MPT students. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of the tournament. Students had really a nice on-field exposure. 16 students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy volunteered in "Surat Night Marathon" on 30th April. 2022.More than 15,ooo athletes from all over the world participated in different categories such as 5km, 10 km & 21km. Our physiotherapy team along with Ashutosh hospital treated various musculoskeletal injuries such as shin pain, calf muscle cramp, hamstring muscle strain, back muscle spasm, etc.More than 250 runners were given physiotherapy treatment during and after the event. It was really a great experience for students in terms of treating on-field running injuries. SRCP is thankful to the medical partner Ashutosh Hospital who gave us this opportunity to work and we are also grateful to the organizers of this marathon for providing all the necessary support before, during and after the event.

Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy posted students in Bhaichung Bhutia Champions Cupheld in Nashikfrom 19th to 23rd December, 2021.The championship organized by Bhaichung Bhutia Football Academy located in Nashik. 3 students were appointed as sports physiotherapists where they treated more than 30football players for different injuries such as hamstrings muscle strain, quadriceps muscle strain, quadriceps contusion, wrist injuries, etc. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of the competition. Students had really a nice on-field exposure. We are thankful to Mr.Bhaichung Bhutia who is a padmashree awardee and a former captain of Indian National Football Team for supporting us. MPT Students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy visited the Department of Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy, Amritsar on 3rd December, 2021.This institute visit was organised with an aim to enhance their practical/clinical knowledge about various advanced equipments that can be used to assess fitness of sports players, individuals with known cardiovascular risk diseases and also to rehabilitate sports players for early return to sport. Host department taught and demonstrated to students about the functioning and understanding of equipments such as Hydrostatic Underwater Weighing, Air Plethysmograph, Isokinetic Dynamometer, Motion Sensor Analyzing System, Force Plate, etc. It was an extremely informative and knowledge enhancing visit for students.

Shrimad Rajchandra College of physiotherapy, a constituent institute of UKA Tarsadia University posted 3 MPT (Sports) students at Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG)for the period of one month from 18th September- 17thOctober, 2021. All the students were guided by the senior coach, appointed physiotherapists of SAG and conditioning coach in order to provide best knowledge about fitness assessment, conditioning program and rehabilitation strategies for various sports. Advanced physiotherapeutic techniques such as myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, kinesiology taping, strength &conditioning were taught. Students were also came to know about on-spot emergency injury management, transfer of a player and planning of injury prevention.Senior coach, support staff appreciated the efforts and interest which our students put throughout this one month. Students had really a nice on-field exposure.

Two MPT (Sports) students were appointed as sports physiotherapists for this competition where they provided first-aid management for injuries such as nose bleed, mouth bleed, acute knee injuries, acute foot injuries, etc. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of the competition.
