MPT STUDENTS PROVIDED SPORTS PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICE IN SOUTH ZONE/STATE KHELMAHAKUMBH-2022 FROM 5th MAY - 28th May 2022

Shrimad Rajchandra College of physiotherapy, a constituent institute of UKA Tarsadia University posted MPT students in South zone/ State KhelMahakumbh-2022. 5 MPT students provided physiotherapy service in various sports such as hockey, athletics, basketball, kho-kho & football for various Men's & Women's category. During the competition, more than 50 players were treated for various injuries such as ligament sprain, bruising, muscle pull, muscle cramps, nose bleed, etc. by our MPT students. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of the tournament. Students had really a nice on-field exposure. We forward our heartfelt thanks to District Sports Officer (Surat), Surat District Sports Management and organizers of the Khelmahakumbh for giving us this opportunity and always keeping faith in us.

SRCP STUDENTS PROVIDED PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICE IN SURAT NIGHT MARATHON ON30th April, 2022

16 students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy volunteered in "Surat Night Marathon" on 30th April. 2022.More than 15,ooo athletes from all over the world participated in different categories such as 5km, 10 km & 21km. Our physiotherapy team along with Ashutosh hospital treated various musculoskeletal injuries such as shin pain, calf muscle cramp, hamstring muscle strain, back muscle spasm, etc.More than 250 runners were given physiotherapy treatment during and after the event. It was really a great experience for students in terms of treating on-field running injuries. SRCP is thankful to the medical partner Ashutosh Hospital who gave us this opportunity to work and we are also grateful to the organizers of this marathon for providing all the necessary support before, during and after the event.

Shrimad Rajchandra College of physiotherapy (SRCP), a constituent institute of UKA Tarsadia University posted MPT students in Khel Mahakumbh-2022. 12 MPT students provided physiotherapy service in various sports such as Kabaddi, Wrestling, Football, Swimming, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Basketball and Handball for various Men's & Women's category. More than 50 players were treated for various injuries such as ligament sprain, bruising, muscle pull, muscle cramps, nose bleed, etc. by our MPT students during the matches. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of Khelmahakumbh. Students had really a nice on-field exposure. Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy posted MPT (Sports) students in Gujarat StateU-19 Handball Tournamentheld in Surat on 2nd& 3rd January, 2022.The tournament was organized by Surat District Sports Association. 2 MPT (Sports) students were appointed as sports physiotherapists. Our students treated different injuries such as ankle sprain, head trauma, quadriceps muscle strain, wrist injuries, thumb injury, etc. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of the tournament. Students had really a nice on-field exposure.

SRCP POSTED STUDENTS IN BHAICHUNG BHUTIA CHAMPIONS CUP

Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy posted students in Bhaichung Bhutia Champions Cupheld in Nashikfrom 19th to 23rd December, 2021.The championship organized by Bhaichung Bhutia Football Academy located in Nashik. 3 students were appointed as sports physiotherapists where they treated more than 30football players for different injuries such as hamstrings muscle strain, quadriceps muscle strain, quadriceps contusion, wrist injuries, etc. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of the competition. Students had really a nice on-field exposure. We are thankful to Mr.Bhaichung Bhutia who is a padmashree awardee and a former captain of Indian National Football Team for supporting us. We are also forwarding our heartfelt thanks to Dr.Rajkumar Varma (PT) and his organization named "myphysiospot" for giving us this opportunity.

Our students treated different injuries such as calf muscle cramp, acute trapezitis, trigger point release, back muscle strain, rotator cuff muscle strain, etc. by our MPT students during the competition. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of the tournament. Students had really a nice on-field exposure.

MPT STUDENTS VISITED DEPARTMENT OF SPORTS MEDICNE AND PHYSIOTHERAPY, AMRITSAR

MPT Students of Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy visited the Department of Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy, Amritsar on 3rd December, 2021.This institute visit was organised with an aim to enhance their practical/clinical knowledge about various advanced equipments that can be used to assess fitness of sports players, individuals with known cardiovascular risk diseases and also to rehabilitate sports players for early return to sport. Host department taught and demonstrated to students about the functioning and understanding of equipments such as Hydrostatic Underwater Weighing, Air Plethysmograph, Isokinetic Dynamometer, Motion Sensor Analyzing System, Force Plate, etc. It was an extremely informative and knowledge enhancing visit for students.

SRCP POSTED MPT (SPORTS) STUDENTS IN GUJARAT STATE YOUTH & JUNIOR WEIGHTLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIP

Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy, a constituent institute of UKA Tarsadia University posted MPT (Sports) students in Gujarat State Youth & Junior weightlifting championship held in Surat on 21st November, 2021.The championshipwas organized by Gujarat State Weightlifting Association. Two MPT (Sports) students were appointed as sports physiotherapists. More than 20 players were treated for different injuries such as hamstring strain, calf muscle cramp, patellar injury, etc. by our MPT students during the championship. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of the tournament. Students had really a nice on-field exposure.

MPT (SPORTS) STUDENTSPOSTED AT SPORTS AUTHORITY OF GUJARAT CENTER-VADODARA TO DEVELOP SKILLS FOR SPORTS INJURY ASSESSMENT, REHABILITATION AND FITNESS TRAINING FOR SPORTS PLAYERS

Shrimad Rajchandra College of physiotherapy, a constituent institute of UKA Tarsadia University posted 3 MPT (Sports) students at Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG)for the period of one month from 18th September- 17thOctober, 2021. All the students were guided by the senior coach, appointed physiotherapists of SAG and conditioning coach in order to provide best knowledge about fitness assessment, conditioning program and rehabilitation strategies for various sports. Advanced physiotherapeutic techniques such as myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, kinesiology taping, strength &conditioning were taught. Students were also came to know about on-spot emergency injury management, transfer of a player and planning of injury prevention.Senior coach, support staff appreciated the efforts and interest which our students put throughout this one month. Students had really a nice on-field exposure.

SRCP POSTED MPT (SPORTS) STUDENTS IN GUJARAT STATE GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP,NAVSARI

Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy (SRCP), a constituent institute of UKA Tarsadia University posted MPT (Sports) students in Gujarat State Grappling Championship held at Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Sports Complex, Navsari on 30th September, 2021.The championship organized by Gujarat State Grappling Committee. Two MPT (Sports) students were appointed as sports physiotherapists for this competition where they provided first-aid management for injuries such as nose bleed, mouth bleed, acute knee injuries, acute foot injuries, etc. Our service was highly appreciated by the players as well as by the organizers of the competition. Students had really a nice on-field exposure. We are very much thankful to Gujarat State Grappling Committee &Mr.Mayur Patel (Secretary, Gujarat State Weight Lifting Association)for giving us this opportunity.

Hospital Visit Report

According to World Health Organization (WHO), a hospital is defined as an integral part ofsocial and medical organization, the function of which is to provide services for acomplete healthcare, both preventive and curative for the population.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy(BPT) & Master of Physiotherapy(MPT) is a paramedical course of four & two years respectively.Each year comprises of aninnovative topic.On the similar grounds Third year BPT & First year MPT course consists of the topic Hospital Orientation. The most commendable thing about the Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital is that they provide all kind of services on free of cost basis to all their patients.

Under this curriculum hospital visitsare mandatory to understand the role of Patient Relation Associate and functioning of thehospital. On the 30th September 2021, 3rdyear BPT & 1st Year MPT students were taken for a visit to the Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital, Dharampur, Gujarat.Dr Khyati Shahand Dr.Falak Kanabarwere the Programme Coordinator for the same.
