About Us

Established in 2015, the department aims to create a world class teaching and research facility in the area of fundamental and applied physics. It offers a 5-year Integrated M.Sc program leading to the degree of M.Sc. (Physics) with an exit option available after successful completion of three years leading to the B.Sc (Physics) degree. Department also offers two years full time M.Sc Program leading towards the M.Sc Physics degree. These programs are designed to prepare undergraduate and postgraduate students to contribute new concepts and technologies, through innovative teaching methods that combine student-faculty interactions, computer-based education, and hands-on experience in well-equipped modern laboratories with an aim of providing the platform for the students to cope up with the global trends. The congruent teaching of heterogeneous subjects under different disciplines gives students an opportunity to learn it in unique way which is a quite distinctive approach at UTU.

Director Message

Dear All,

I am deeply honoured and privileged to join the Department of Physics at UkaTarsadia University. Department of Physics is dedicated to fostering an environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and excellence among both students and the scientific community. We are committed to implementing a choice-based credit system and providing holistic education in line with the National Education Policy.

Our programs boast a comprehensive curriculum ranging from basic to advanced levels, supplemented by periodic industrial training, hands-on experience, and project-based learning. Additionally, we actively encourage students to pursue internships and participate in National and International seminars, workshops, and conferences by presenting articles.

I am confident that our collective efforts will yield remarkable success, setting new standards in scholarly innovation, high-impact journal publications, citations, and technological advancements for societal benefit.
