- CLEAR THE NATIONAL APTITUDE TEST IN ARCHITECTURE (NATA)

Minimum 50% aggregate at 10+2 level of the Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject, OR a 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with a minimum 50% aggregate, OR an International Baccalaureate Diploma after ten years of schooling with a minimum 50% aggregate, with Mathematics as a subject.

CLEAR QUALIFYING EXAMINATION
Step 3

Being eligible for admission into architecture, the candidate has to then register with ACPC-Architecture to apply to the institute of his/her choice. The registration process into ACPC-Architecture is available on http://www.jacpcldce.ac.in/Archi.asp. Admission confirmation is to be carried out as per regulations established by ACPC-Architecture.

Course Details
Eligibility Criteria
  • No candidate, with less than 50% marks in aggregate, shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he/ she has passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as subjects of examination at the 10+2 level.
  • OR
  • 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/ State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
  • OR
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.
  • AND
  • Minimum 40% marks in the All Indian National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA).

Weightage

The following shall be the weightage:

NATA TEST: 50% (Maximum)
Qualifying Examination: i.e. 10+2 OR 10+3 years Diploma recognised by the Central / State governments
OR IB Diploma and/ or other test.

No lateral admission is allowed at any stage of the five year full time B.Arch. course.

Bachelor Of Interior Design

About B.I.D

Design Teaching will involve Learning of creative, technical and psychological aspects of design and aesthetics of an interior environment. The field is multidisciplinary and multidimensional; covering art, architecture, technology, anthropology, science, practice, etc. The course aims to nourish minds with a spirit of inquiry, sensitivity, responsibility, and empower them to create harmonious interior spaces, which reflect a balance of individual aspirations, aesthetics, sustainability, function and commercial viability.

B.I.D. programme is a of Courses/Subjects in the programme will be of three kinds: Core, Elective and Foundation. Subjects will fall in four broad categories of Creative, Skill-based, Technical and Humanities. Teaching will primarily be conducted as Interactive Studios, Hands-on Workshops and Theoritical Lectures.

Semester system at B.I.D. will accelerate the teaching-learning process and enables vertical and horizontal mobility in learning. The credit based semester system provides flexibility in designing curriculum and assigning credits based on the course content and hours of teaching.

Admission Procedure
Step 1

Interested candidates need to fill the online admission form at UTU, following which they shall receive an Admit Card for aptitude test from the Godavariba School of Interior Design upon submitting the prints of the filled-up form, a copy of the 10+2 or qualifying examination marksheet, a copy of the School Leaving Certificate, a copy of the 10th standard marksheet, as well as 2 passport-size photographs.

The Candidate needs to achieve a minimum of 40% marks in Aptitude Test as prescribed by the Faculty of Design, Planning & Architecture (FDPA), organized by the Uka Tarsadia University, AND 10+2 level of the Senior School Certificate Examination (from any stream) of Central/State Board, OR a 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments, OR an International Baccalaureate Diploma after ten years of schooling (any stream).

CLEAR APTITUDE TEST & QUALIFYING EXAMINATION
Step 3

Having met all the Eligibility Criteria, including the minimum score in the Aptitude Test, the candidate shall be offered admission into the BID programme as per the merit list generated by the University. The candidate may then accept admission into the programme by paying the fees as mentioned in the "Fees" link on this webpage.

About F.D.T

Fashion Design is one of the most lucrative, appealing, glamorous and exciting career options in today's world, if you have a penchant for creativity, style and originality. On one hand, the fashion industry satisfies both the creative fancies and the materialistic needs of the people. On the other hand, it promises glamour, fame, success and a high pay package to the talented people.

The degree level study of fashion design teaches innovative and creative design of apparel, skills in producing pattern and prototype garments, knowledge of textile material, market and trend analysis, and helps you develop the ability to position fashion products in the marketplace.

Focusing on the aforesaid objectives, the Jaymin School of Fashion Design and Technology (JSFDT) began its first academic session in 2015-16, as a part of the Faculty of Design Planning and Architecture (FDPA) under the Uka Tarsadia University.

The Bachelor of Design (Fashion Design & Technology) [B.Des.(F.D.T.)] programme offered here at JSFDT at the undergraduate level of study aims to impart both a theoretical as well as a practical outlook in Fashion Design and Fashion Technology, with a healthy focus on the fashion industry and contemporary practices through a well-structured and organized curriculum at par with highly ranked institutes in the country. The coursework also includes a semester dedicated to Industrial Training. This year onwards, candidates shall have an option to receive a Diploma in Design (Fashion Design & Technology) in a span of two and a half years.
