Syllabus for BACHELOR OF INTERIOR DESIGN
Eligibility Criteria
DEGREE PROGRAMME

10+2 level of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (from any stream) of Central/State Board

or

10+3 Diploma (from any stream) recognized by Central/ State Governments

or

International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling (any stream)

and

Minimum 40% marks in Aptitude Test as prescribed by the Faculty of Design, Planning & Architecture, organized by the Uka Tarsadia University.

APTITUDE TEST

Eligible Students will give Aptitude Test. Test will consist of Drawing, Visual Perception, Logical reasoning and General Knowledge.

It is necessary to receive minimum 40% marks in Aptitude test to get admission in B.I.D.

MERIT LIST

Merit list will be prepared by combining marks of Aptitude test and 12 th Standard/Diploma.

The following shall be the weightage for preparation of merit list:

Marks received in Aptitude Test conducted by GSID, FDPA, UTU 50%
Marks received in Qualifying Examination as mentioned in eligibility criteria i.e. 12 th Standard Or Diploma 50%

Duration

The duration of the course shall be Four years (8 semesters, full time). Each academic year shall be divided into two semesters and each semester will consist of 16 weeks of Teaching/Academic work.
