Diwali celebration by Joy of Giving, Date: 14thOctober,2017
"A Helping Hand Is Always Better Than Praying Lips" … with this thought in mind, the students of BCA Honors and M.Sc. IT under the Urban Care Club, celebrated Diwali in a different way. On October 14th, 2017, they visited three government schools in Utara, Mota and Baben, celebrated Diwali with under privileged children. They distributed slippers, crackers, sweets and fruits to more than 850 students. They collected used clothes in a good conditions and distributed to school children. Children played several games and had lots of fun with the students of BCA Honors and M.Sc. IT. It was really a divine experience to see the illuminated faces of kids with smile and joy.
BMIIT Students Dollar Bhanderi Secured First Rank in Elocution Competition, Date: 4thOctober,2017
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program organized an elocution competition on 4th of October for students of UkaTarsadia University.
Presently addiction is a complex condition, psychological dependence and compulsive engagement of a substance that creates chaos in one’s life, and the lives of those who are connected with them. On that note NSS stipulate theme for elocution is “Effects of addiction on economic, social and family life”. The function was enlightened with the presence PSI of “NashaBandhiAabkariKhatu”. Amid 14 contestants from individual department of university, our 5th semester student -Dollar Bhanderi secured first position and recognized with an award. We, BMIIT family applaud Dollar Bhanderi and boost him to participate further in such activities to showcase their talent to outer world.
Design competition organized by BMIIT on the theme 'Green-Save Environment', Date: September 14, 2017
In collaboration with JCI, BMIIT arranged a painting/slogan design competition on theme Green-Save Environment on September 14, 2017 which was handled by Mr. Mulchand Sen. Each and every student of BMIIT participated in the event by making individual designs with slogan on saving the environment. The students were informed on the previous day about the competition and they had to submit their designs by 10:00 am on the day of the competition. All the students participated enthusiastically in the event and submitted wonderful designs. Out of all the classes, the class of 7th semester was declared as winner for which they were given a trophy. A book will also be published for the same showcasing all the designs submitted by the students of the winning team.
BMIIT congratulates the students and envisions to conduct these kind of competitions in the future as well.
BMIIT celebrated Teacher's Day, Date: 4thSeptember,2017

In nation, 5th September is commemorate as Teacher's Day as mark of tribute to contribution made by teacher to the society. With the grace and blessings, BMIIT celebrated teacher's day on 4th September, 2017 in a distinctive way.
The day started with the students teachers led the students to classes and thought the lesson which they had prepared one day before. Completion of three lectures the celebration continues with culturalevents in form of individual and class rivalries.Elocution rivalry on "My Teacher My Guru", where individual represent their visions in delectable way.Class rivalries were on painting, best lord Ganesha from waste and classroom decoration from waste materials.It was fun filled event where students showcase their talent in innovative fashion. BMIIT celebrated 'Jamboree 2017'- Fresher's party for new comrades, Date: 26th August,2017
The theme for an eventwas galaxy, and when new shining stars of BMIIT walks on the black carpetit was feel just as galaxy on earth.The esteemed guest of honor, Shree Bhagubhai Patel (President of BPKM)inaugurate the event with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp along with the faculty members and student’s general secretory. Soon after the inauguration the event followed by the various cultural activities like, dancing, singing, mimicry, drama and fashion show. It was fun filled event at which the fresher got an opportunity not only to showcase their talent but also interact with the seniors.
After scrutiny, 10contestantsvied for the Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2017 title. The rivalry kick started with ramp walk on "Great King/Queen" theme. The contest includes 4rounds, which wove the magic of fun and happiness in to the event.In addition to this 6 awards were also given to fresher as follow.

BMIIT conducts an expert session on "Build a better FUTURE", Date: August 9, 2017.
An expert session was conducted by Babu Madhav Institute of Information Technology on 9th August 2017, Wednesday for the second year, third year and fourth year students.The theme for the session was “Build a better future” and the speaker for the session was Ms. Rupal Shah, JCI Member, and National Trainer. The session was initiated with a welcome speech by Mr. Mulchand Sen during which he also introducedspeaker Ms. Rupal Shah.Ms Rupal Shah shared all the work that is done by JCI organization and the various benefits that they can get by working as a JCI member. She further explained how a student can mold their future into a better career and apart from career which are the activities that make the student a better person and a responsible citizen. The students were enlightened with the session and gained good knowledge.
BMIIT organized Orientation Program for the new batch of students: 17th- 18th July 2017
Every year BMIIT organizes an orientation program for familiarizing the newly admitted students to the environment, academic culture and ethics, procedures, technology used at BMIIT and to create a bond of trust between the new students, faculty members and senior students.
BMIIT organized ‘Orientation 2017’ for two days from 17th to 18th July 2017
On both the days several events were carried out. Program Coordinator Mr. Jitendra Nasriwala also addressed the students and gave a motivational speech. The first session was based on general awareness which included academic, student information system, exam and discipline ethics followed at BMIIT. To make the students feel friendly and come out of their inhibitions, a senior junior meet was also arranged which was attended by the 5th and 7th year students and the first year students. There was also a session on anti-ragging so as to make the students aware of anti-ragging policy at the university. The last sessions were based on campus visit and games which were handled by senior student volunteers.
The Orientation program was finally ceased by wishing good luck to the new crusades of BMIIT.
An expert session was organized at BMIIT on "Machine Learning and Chatbots": July 12, 2017
An expert session was organized at BMIIT on Machine Learning and Chatbots on date July 12, 2017. The speaker was Mr. Chitrang Thakkar who has had years of experience in Machine Learning and is currently a software developer in New Zealand. He has developed “Chatbots” and also worked with google for machine learning. The expert session was attended by 350 students (as well as staff members) of BMIIT, 150 students and staff of SRIMCA and 150 students and staff of CO/IT from engineering.
The session was initiated by an expert talk conjoined with a workshop for getting a hands-on to develop Chatbots. Mr. Thakkar commenced the first session with the sharing of his own life experiences during college days and how his interest was developed in machine learning. Following that, he introduced machine learning and Chatbots. All the basics of machine learning and Chatbot development, famous Chatbots and their comparison was covered during the session. A demonstration of machine learning with azure was also given to the students. The session was concluded with a question answer session.
The second session was a hands-on for 70 students which was conducted in the computer labs. During the hands-on the students learnt how to prepare a basic Chatbots with Node JS. They also learnt GitHub and Azure based Chatbot hosting.
Overall it was an interactive and knowledge giving session and all the students learned a lot from it.

Description :Come and learn how easy it is to get started with machine learning in cloud and create chat bots using Microsoft Azure and Bot Framework. The event will be broken into two parts:
